"In 2005, I made the decision to take advantage of the new Superchoices legislation and salary sacrifice my super contributions into my own self-managed super fund. In doing so, I needed to develop comprehensive share trading strategies, which were cost effective to administer.

The Australian Tax Office requires an annual audit of self-managed super funds. I needed to have a documented share trading strategy, detailed minutes on all share-trading activities, and comprehensive accounting records for the self-managed super fund. Non-compliance is very expensive.I did not want to go there!

I had two options for administering my self-managed super fund. I could have employed an accountant to do daily administration of the fund or I could manage the daily administration myself, and have the accountant just do the end of year stuff. With charge-out rates for accountants set at $350 per hour and bookkeepers rates set at $150 per hour, it was an easy decision to make. I chose to administer the fund myself!

Q: How can I download the end of day data and how much does it cost?
A: Once you purchased the StockMaster, we will send you the instruction to download the daily share price data, absolutely free of charge! You can also download the share price data from your existing data vendor or online trading sites such as CommSec.

Q: What is the ongoing cost?
A: Once you purchased the StockMaster, you will be entitled six months free Support Plan which includes free upgrades and technical support. After six months, you can optionally renew the Support Plan for another 12 months at $99pa. If not, you can pay the upgrade and technical support per instance at $49.50 (actual upgrade price may vary depends on the version). In the past, we tend to release upgrades for every two months.

Q: Can I run it on Windows 98?
A: Yes, StockMaster is available in two executables. One is designed to support the older platforms such as Windows 95 or Windows 98. Another is designed specifically for Windows XP to take advantage of the new XP style.
